2/7/2011 - I've had some extraordinary bad things happen to me recently.  The main thing I've learned is, people I thought were my friends will lie to my face and trash me behind my back.  I have naively trusted some very bad people, with my heart, with my safety, with my privacy, with my personal property, and subsequently, my children.  Everyone from old friends to my sister.  From now on, you don't get me for free.  My heart aches.  Are there no good, honest people left in the world?  WTF?  I guess because I am honest I think everyone else is too.  Thanks for the lesson, old friends.

1.     It’s okay to be mad, but let it go before it consumes you.

2.     Nobody is going to rescue you.  Rescue yourself.

3.     Do not LIE, do not HIDE, do not DENY.  It’s a losing game.

4.     Like yourself for who you really are.  That includes the bad things.

5.     Get off your pity pot.

6.     Sing and dance because it will bring you joy!  You don’t have to be good at it.

7.     Get lots of sleep.  Your body needs it for positive energy.

8.     It’s easy to put others down.  What can you do to bring them UP?

9.     What are you doing to make the world a better place?

10. Quit complaining.  Nobody wants to hear it, and it will make you feel negative.

11.   Pick your battles.  Very few things *really* matter that much.

12.  Drink more water.  Reduce the amount of pop and junk food you consume.

13.  Call your friends more often.

14.  Eat good food, and slowly chew each bite, savoring it.  You will feel more satisfied with less.

15.  Always be open to ideas and opportunities.

16.  Learning is lifelong.

17.  Acceptance is beautiful.

18.  Live life on life’s terms.

5/11/2010 - Yes, I do have a little bush.  REALLY little!  Very soft and silky blonde hair.  Of course, I ALWAYS shave my rear end.  I think it's only polite to keep hair out of your food!  LOL.  I know, I know.  Fashion dictates all the co-eds to be shaved like pre-pubescent teens.  That's cool for them!  When you're a co-ed you should be that way!  I know I was when I was 20.

But now I'm a MILF.  A grown-@$$ woman, with experience and some very interesting stories.  Passion for life!  Passion for learning!  Passion for men who have hair on their chests...or any sign of being "grown ups"!  Does that sound silly?  I kind of feel silly saying it.  But that's just what I like.  A real man, a man who may have a little paunch, something for me to grab on to!  A real man, who has lived life and enjoyed the trip!  Men who have patiently studied women and have a bit of knowledge.

I am NOT knocking the 20-somethings!  Y'all are great, you really are!  But I'm a woman who desires a man who can keep up with me.  Keeping up with me is NOT all physical.

Well, I've really said a lot more than I intended.  But I hope if you read this and YOU are my kind of gent, that you'll stiffen up and contact me.  I like a man with a backbone....and other *bones*...LOL

12/13/2009 - Ah, Tiger Woods.  Poor, sweet, horny dumbass.  I have an opinion on just about everything, and this post I made to a local Seattle board pretty much sums it up.

I believe in being good, simply because it is right. History shows that gurus, priests, and powerful people will take advantage of their position to abuse others - no one is safe, not women, children, or men. It's interesting, is it not, that religion is used to gain power over others. Politics are also abused. Fear is an excellent mechanism to control people.

When we place blind trust in people of power, we open ourselves to abuse. It's wrong, it is sick, and it is sad. That being said, the women who slept with Tiger were not unaware of what/who they were doing. IMHO, they each made a conscious choice as adults. Now they can all jump on the "He's so awful, let's stone him to death" bandwagon. All of those women live in glass houses and should not throw stones.

I do not think Tiger deserves to be vilified in the press, or to lose his marriage, or promotional deals for behaving like a man. I do think the guy could use some lessons in tact.

5/15/2009 - Hello, All!  It's been a while since I've written.  I usually wait for inspiration, and today I found it.  This is a news story that ticked me off.  Defense: Ex-soldier facing death penalty had troubled childhood

My opinion - I don't care!  I don't care if you had a crappy childhood!  You still don't have the right or reason to hurt others!  You just don't.  Bad things happen to people.  You need to take ownership of that, go to therapy, or whatever it takes, but you do NOT hurt other people because something bad happened to you.  I think that is so lame, and a much over-used ploy.  Period.

2/14/2009 - Happy Valentine's Day!  Latest opinions on hot topics....

First, I am sorry to say that I am bogged down with family stuff today, and will not get a chance to give you the new movie.

1.  Octo-mom.  The woman who recently had 8 babies by invitro fertilization....that's pretty easy to call a bad move.  I think we can all agree that is a selfish, reckless, careless decision on her part, and the doctor who implanted the embryos.  How messed up is THAT!?

2.  Michael Phelps.  Oh, come on, people!  So he smoked some pot.  I don't think Kellogg's should have dropped him.  High people get the munchies, and Corn Flakes rock!

3.  Britain's child father, aged 13.  I've read people's opinions on this, and I have to say that sex education does not necessarily guarantee that kids will make good choices when they are horny.  Take, for example, my own stepchildren.  You'd think that any child of mine would be so highly educated on how to prevent pregnancy/disease, wouldn't you?  You'd be right, too.  I spent years raising my stepdaughter (who I love very much).  I taught her everything: how to check for disease, how to put a condom on, and - Hey, Sweetie, can I take you to Planned Parenthood so you can get on birth control pills?  But she made a choice not to follow my teachings and got pregnant at 17.  Now, know this.  I love that little girl so very much, but I am mad at her for choosing not to be more careful.  So, while I am a great proponent of sex education, I am a greater proponent of action being taken by said child.  She is smart and capable, educated.  No excuse.  BTW - the baby is adorable and I am indeed a "step-grandma".  I guess that's the new MILF.  GILF?  MILFs will probably - eventually - be GILFs...might as well suck it up and face reality.  *groans*

2/1/2009 - Freezing Death of Michigan Senior Citizen

I have to admit, I am appalled at the world sometimes.  Just for a moment, consider this.  One couple has so much money that they can easily afford -get this - $155,000 to clone their dog (who died from cancer, so the cloned pup will also die from cancer - DUH).  Also in America, a 93 year old man died because he couldn't afford to pay his heating bill (see link above).  Some things are just WRONG.  The octuplets born to the single mother of 6 (now there are 14 children of this single parent) is also easily WRONG.  Is there no end to selfishness in this world?  Am I all by myself on this?  I am really offended! 

I am going to stand up for what I believe.  This is it.  No, you CAN'T spend $155,000 on a dog, just because you can.  No, you CAN'T be impregnated by doctors if you already have 6 kids (under the age of 8, no less!) just because you can.  No, you CAN'T turn off the heat on a 93 year old man because he didn't pay his bill.  It's selfish and wrong, and against anything decent people stand for.  Period.  You can disagree with me if you want, but this is a truth I hold strongly.  I was raised that there are some things you just don't do because you have a conscience telling you otherwise.  Where is the conscience of the Otto family with their oh-so-special dog?  Buried in the backyard, next to their cold, hard hearts.  IMHO.

****Update****  The Michigan man who froze to death had money to pay the bill.  He is apparently afflicted with dementia.  He paid his utility bill for years before this happened.  WTF is up with the utility company?

1/31/2009 - Had a discussion with some friends recently regarding tattoos....

When I was 16, I was quite a handful (as I'm sure you can imagine). One night, I snuck out of my bedroom window and hitchhiked downtown. I met up with a group of "real winners" and we all got drunk. The guys said they had a homemade tattoo kit at home.

In my drunk, 16 year old mind, I thought how cool! Wow, I'm a real rebel! (Remember, this is about 1985) So, I went back to their place, got more drunk, and requested a Motley Crue pentagram on my left shoulder.

Not much later, I began vomiting. The guys hustled me out to the street downstairs to a phone booth and somehow got my home phone number out of me. Called Mom, who came and picked me up. Straight to the hospital, where they pumped my poor little tummy (dumbass) and I vaguely remember screaming obscenities at my mother and the doctors.

Woke up the next day to a boss tattoo and a whopping hangover. Mom was PISSED. Monday morning, she got hold of a friend who is a plastic surgeon. I had that tattoo for maybe 5 days. I now have a little scar on my shoulder and a very funny story, but never did get another tattoo. Mom was right. My creamy skin is perfect just the way it is.

1/21/2009 - Busy as usual.  The new girl-girl scene I am getting ready to shoot for this site is coming along nicely.  Not only is the new model H-O-T (and young, sweet and tender), I have a superior new cameraman/editor, so I am moving forward with upgrading the quality of my website!  It's expensive, but worth it.  You can expect some small changes to start, and eventually I want to have my site be really spiffy, with cool graphics etc.

I don't believe Roland Burris should have been seated in the Senate.  Rod Blagojovich has been impeached; therefore, this appointment should be null and void.  I understand that Burris will be the only African American in the Senate.  That is so lame.  Black people!  Time to stand up!  Why don't more African Americans run for Senate next race?  We need you!  Heck, we need you NOW, but it's a little too late for that now.

1/11/2009 - The Porn Bailout. 

To me, the whole bailout thing is a ripoff.  The market will fluctuate.  We go through good times and bad.  That's called Life.  Moxie and original thinking will serve us better than simply dumping cash into a failing business.  If the business is failing, there are reasons.  Those reasons are valid, and should be a wakeup call to people who should have been paying attention long before now.

I am sorry for the people who will lose their jobs in the auto industry and Wall Street.  However, nobody else gets that kind of job security!  I work for myself.  Who's going to bail me out?  How about all the people in every job in every state?  I think I studied this in college.  Something about an Iron Hand....or am I all by myself on this?  Econ 101?

The porn bailout is a joke.  Larry Flynt has more money than God.  Joe Francis (I'm willing to bet) has a nifty pile too.  I honestly think these guys are just trying to get publicity.  Or, maybe it's like sibling rivalry "He got a bailout, now I want one too!".  It could be to teach us all a lesson, or to make a point: "It's fair for THEM, where's my money?"  They're like the black sheep gambling son who wants Dad to give him a "loan" or the sharks will break his kneecaps.  If we don't SAVE them, OH DEAR!  The worst will happen, and we are evil to let that be.  Whatever happened to natural consequences?  Let some kneecaps get broken, or the kid will continue to gamble and ask for loans!  So to speak.

My impression of Larry and Joe is that they are both amazing entrepreneurs.  Think about it.  A guy like Larry Flynt, who started so small (trailer trash) and grew to be so large - it's because he's a good businessman and he knows how to sell you what you want.  I remember when Bob Guccione had to sell Penthouse.  Ten years ago, Bill Maher interviewed Hugh Hefner and asked his thoughts.  Hef said he honestly didn't realize that Larry was a better businessman than Bob.  I have to agree.

Same thing with Joe Francis, but on a much smaller scale.  After all, Larry did start this porn thing so many years ago, and he has had many public wars over it.  He is a true porn pioneer, and for that I thank him.  I get to do what I like to do because guys like him took chances back before I was born!  What happened to THAT guy?  THAT Larry Flynt?  He wouldn't take No for an answer.  Now he's going to beg for money?  I don't buy it.

If these two guys are saying that they aren't smart or clever enough to figure out how to make money, I will seriously eat my hat.  It's just a ruse, and a pathetic one at that.  Of course, I feel the same way about Wall Street and the Big 3 auto manufacturers.  Tighten your belts, and get creative!  That's American.  We're Americans!  We pick ourselves up, we dust ourselves off, and we get back to work!  Anything else is mealy mouthed whining and you're just a wuss.  Isn't Necessity the mother of Invention?  I see the necessity.  Where's the invention?  Or are you just going to get creative about how you fleece people?
